Although it may seem you can make alot of money with your website but the reality is it’s not that simple. It cost alot of money for hiring a web developer (min for good site : 250$) . It still takes alot of time for getting an audience just enough to buy candy bar. It also depends upon which type of ads are shown on your website or your doing self-published ads. Location also plays an important role in how much will you make (for example: If most of your audience is from US than you can make about 2.5$ per ad click whereas if your audience is from India you will earn about 0.02$ on average per click )

How much can you make?
Let’s take a real world scenario for this example. Assume you started a blog today how much money and time it will take to make money and cover cost. It will take about two week just get yourself in google database. For an audience of about 1000 you will require two post about 28 post which are of extremely good quality. This could take about 6 months. Only 500 people out of these will click your ads at the very best. Assuming you audience is from US, you will make about ( 2.5 $ X 500 = 1250$ ). So you will make just 1250$ in 6 months and 2 weeks of work. Now let’s the cost of your website/blog and your living cost.
Rent : 850$ + Food : 250$ + Entertainment : 350$ + Shopping : 500 $
Total per month : 1950$
Total of 6 months : 11700$ + Total for 2 weeks : 877.5$ + Cost of website/Blog : 350$
Total : 12927.5$
Earning : 1250$
Return : -11677.5$
